Do I need to get a group of 20 together to go on a public excursion?
You do not. Our public excursions are for any amount of people. It’s just like going to a restaurant except reservations are required.
How can I reserve tickets?
Over the phone. Just call (651) 430-1234.
What should I have ready when calling to reserve tickets?
The date and time of the excursion you would like to reserve tickets for as well as your name, phone number and credit card.
Can I customize the cruise to meet my needs?
Your St. Croix Boat representative will work with you on every detail of your event, from menus to decorations.
Can we provide our own food or work with an outside catering service?
Sorry, we cannot accommodate outside catering services. Please let your representative know how we may accommodate your special needs.
Are your buffets "all you can eat"?
Not necessarily. Because of the finality of being on the water, our buffet cruises leave the dock with specific portion servings per person reflective of your final guarantee
Are there vegetarian options available?
Yes! Our chef will be happy to prepare a vegetarian option at no extra charge. Please include your request at or before the 72-hour food guarantee cut off.
Can I bring my own cake aboard for my event?
Yes! we welcome you to bring your own, provided it does not require refrigeration. We do provide plastic plates, forks & napkins
Are children allowed?
Yes Adults must accompany
Are outside alcoholic beverages allowed?
No. Minnesota State Law forbids us from allowing any outside alcoholic beverages
Can we bring our own decorations?
Yes! Decorations are allowed with the exception confetti and candles. Decorations must be put up and taken down in to your rental time. See your representative with any other questions regarding decoration. .
When is our final passenger count and payment due?
Final passenger counts and final payment are due 7 days prior to your event
What payment options do I have?
Payments may be made by cash or credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Special payment options may be extended to our corporate clients. Please consult your representative for more information.
Is Service charge included?
A 18% Service charge will be added to all menu items.
Are state taxes included?
Tax will be added to all menu items
What happens during rain or storms?
St. Croix Boats go rain or shine. In the case of severe weather conditions, the boat may remain dockside for portions of the event. Also, please keep in mind that all boats have fully enclosed and climate controlled levels.
What kind of music entertainment can we have on the boat?
We welcome band or DJs on the boats. Stillwater ordinances restrict us from hosting amplified music on the outside decks after 10:00 pm. However, all boats have inside levels that could go later. Please contact your representative with further questions.
What is the dress attire?
Dress for the current weather conditions during your cruise time. As a general rule, we recommend casual dress attire, such as casual shorts or pants and golf shirts.
How far in advance should I begin planning my event?
We suggest that you begin planning your event as soon as you have a definite date in mind
Are your yachts Handicap Accessible?
All St. Croix Boat and Packet vessels are “Handicap Accessible” as determined by state law. Please consult you event planner about restrictions and how our staff can accommodate your special needs.
What is your cancellation policy?
Event deposits will be refunded in full only if we can rebook that date and time. Deposits may be applied to rescheduled events if the event is rescheduled in the same calendar year of original event date.
How do I make a reservation on a public cruise?
All public cruise tickets are purchased in advance and are non refundable.
Is there pre-assigned seating on public cruises?
Yes we will reserve tables of 12 or more, make sure to tell your representative at the time of booking. Open to the public cruises begin boarding 30 minutes prior to departure. Seating choices are on a first come basis.
How do I redeem a cruise gift certificate?
Reservations for public cruises are available by calling 651-430-1234. Gift certificates may be exchanged for boarding passes the day of your cruise.
Where does the boat go?
The boat will cruise a few miles north and/or south on the St. Croix River. The direction does depend on the bridge lifts and water levels.
Are drinks included with the meal?
Water is complimentary. Otherwise there is a cash bar on board. Ask your representative for other bar options.
If my party is not able to make it or we miss our public cruise time can I receive a refund?
Sorry, all unused tickets are non-refundable.
Is smoking permitted?
Smoking is permitted on outside decks only.
